Intensive and natural labour in the vineyards enables the von Winning winery to harvest aromatic and healthy grapes. This high-quality harvest is then vinified in the historic wine cellar without external influences and with a great deal of tranquillity.
In respectful interaction with nature, the wine specialists at Weingut von Winnig accompany their wines from pruning to the bottle, reviving traditions that were thought to have been forgotten. Lively, fine and full of character, racy and full of tension, the wines have great ageing potential, but offer great drinking pleasure even in their youth.
Since the winery was founded in 1849, top wines from outstanding vineyards have been maturing in the historic cellar vaults. These high-quality grapes are then vinified without external influences and with great tranquillity. The top wines ferment cloudy and warm in the wood without artificial cooling. This preserves the valuable, flavour-defining phenols that give the von Winning wines their complex style. They are then moved only once and bottled. In this way, special wines are created from the grapes of important vineyards, which give the style of the winery its particular expression.
