The entrance to the Upstalsboom Wyk auf Föhr hotel lobby is barrier-free (step-free access) and all hotel floors are also easily accessible by lift. Both the hotel and the suite house have designated parking spaces in the underground car park, which you can easily reach from any floor via a lift. There is also step-free access to our eilun SPA via the underground car park.
The manoeuvring space in front of the lifts is 150 cm x 150 cm. Our lifts have a size of 90 cm x 210 cm. The positioning of operating elements is based on the reach heights of wheelchair users. For example, switches, sockets and door openers must be positioned at a height of 32 cm - 122 cm . The switches in our building are 10 cm high and the door openers 105 cm.
As our restaurant bi a wik and a barrier-free toilet are located on the ground floor, you can also reach them without steps. Our restaurant sydbar, directly on the beach promenade, also has a barrier-free WC. Access here is also stepless.
For a barrier-free bathroom, the legislator recommends rooms measuring at least 180 cm x 220 cm. The toilet has a height of 50 cm and the manoeuvring space in the bathroom is at least 140 cm x 140 cm. The space for an accompanying person next to the toilet is 30 cm.
Grab rails with a height of 87 cm (upper edge) are provided as well as a stable, fold-out shower seat. The shower is steplessly accessible and measures 190 x 105 cm. The washbasin can be driven under and is 90 cm high.
